After visiting Scotland & Ireland for the first time, Tom fell in love with links golf in both countries. He started helping his friends and fellow PGA Professionals arrange tours as a hobby. He quickly realized that as a small business with low overhead, he could provide customized tours at competitive prices. And so started Tom’s Golf Tours.

Tom’s Golf Tours was formed in 2000 by Tom Chillemi, a Class A Member of the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA) since 1977. At the time he was the Head Golf Professional at Sky Valley Resort in Sky Valley, Georgia. He retired from this position in 2009 and worked the next 10 years at Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club, a beautiful club in Cahiers, North Carolina. After his wife Jana passed away in 2020, Tom moved to Greensboro, Georgia to be closer to his children
Tom has played all of the great courses many times, while staying at most of the local accommodations, and experiencing the local sightseeing options.
