Custom Golf Tours to Scotland & Ireland
Tom's Golf Tours was formed in 2000 by Tom Chillemi – a Class A Member of the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA). Tom started the business as a hobby assisting his Club Members, friends and fellow PGA Professionals plan their personal trips to Ireland and Scotland. After taking a few trips of his own, Tom realized that he could offer the exact trips as other tour companies at more reasonable prices - mainly due to the minimal overhead of being a one man operation. Tom has agents in both Ireland and Scotland that make sure everything goes smoothly with his tours. Toms Golf Tours has arrangements with all the courses in both countries including guaranteed tee times on the "Old Course" at St. Andrews. Tom offers the same great golf and accommodations as the big guys, but with lower prices and an extremely high level of personal service.
Ireland is synonymous with links golf and offers some of the most memorable golf experience you'll find anywhere.
Scotland is the home of most British Open venues with St. Andrews Old Course being the “Home of Golf”.
Here’s what our Clients have to say:
It was a great trip! - exceeded all my expectations which were very high already. Ireland is simply golf heaven. I've played Pebble Beach and Old Head puts it to shame. Waterville was beautiful and a great course. Those two and Lahinch were probably our favorites although picking a favorite is like picking a favorite child - you love them all. I definitely want to go back.
Thanks for putting together a perfect trip and also for arranging for such good weather while we were there.
I would like to thank you for all your help with our Southwest Ireland trip. The 15 members and myself had a wonderful time in Ireland. The arrangements went very smooth and the price was great. Our coach driver Tim took very good care of us, even with all our little needs, and our accommodations was fantastic. Everyone had a great time and was not only impressed with the golf and every other aspect of the trip but the Irish people were so very nice. I will be calling you soon to set up a trip for next year to Scotland. I would recommend anyone interested in a trip that would like all the details taken care of at the best price around to get in touch with you.
Tom – I can’t thank you enough for a trip of a lifetime. All went amazingly well. I greatly appreciate you taking the burden off of me by planning our golf and hotels. It was a truly great week and I greatly appreciate your attention to the details to make it so wonderful.
I will call you later to give you a recap.
It seems just about all the golfers I send to Scotland want to include the Old Course at St. Andrews. There are 4 ways to do this of which I handle one of them.
Had a wonderful golf trip to Ireland this June. Visited both Northern Ireland and Southwest Ireland. The weather was fantastic with temps 65 – 70 every day with just a bit of mist a couple of days with light to moderate breezes.
As most of you know I own Toms Golf Tours of Scotland & Ireland arranging tours to both countries. I recently spent an enjoyable week with a group and would like to share the experience with you ...
Today I’m going to talk about some problems and cures for the senior golfer. I’ve recently turned 68 and have been playing golf for 58 years with 45 as a Golf Professional. I’ve always played a pretty respectable game until recently ...
I come from a golfing family: my Dad, Nick Chillemi, was a Life Member of the PGA of America and my sister Connie spent almost 20 years on the LPGA Tour. I turned Pro in 1964 and received my Class A PGA Card in 1977. I have been associated at four courses: West End Golf Club in Gainesville, FL; Reynolds Plantation Golf Club in Greensboro, GA; Kingwood C.C. in Clayton, Ga. and Sky Valley Golf Club in Sky Valley, GA. After I retired in 2009, I found I needed something more to do than arrange golf tours. I now work a couple of days a week at the spectacular Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club in Cashiers, NC from May through October.
I guess my greatest golf accomplishment was in 2002 when my son Tommy and I won the International Father & Son Championship Old Course at St. Andrews. I try to play weekly with the Men’s Group at Sky Valley and at Mountaintop. I also enjoy tagging along with a couple of groups every year and get in some fabulous links golf in Ireland and Scotland.
I’ve been married to my wife Jana for 47 years and still reside in Sky Valley, GA with Jana and our six dogs.
